Basscoast directions

I grabbed the directions from the google cache, since the site appears to be down:

The Bass Coast Project is located in the beautiful Squamish Valley. Situated on 250 acres of lush forest on the Squamish River with White Sand Beaches and surrounded by the Tantalus Mountain Range. The site will have a different layout from last year! Most of the entertainment will be situated on the beach. WOOOOO HOOOOOOO this means even more PARTY ISLAND!

BASS COAST IS: 15 minutes from Squamish, BC, Canada, 1 hour from Vancouver and 1 hour from Whistler

DIRECTIONS

From Vancouver - Drive North towards Whistler.

North of Squamish - Turn LEFT off highway at squamish/paradise valley turnoff.

At the V, turn LEFT up the Squamish Valley Rd.

Drive to mile 14 (15 minutes from HWY)

Turn LEFT into THE SQUAMISH VALLEY CAMPGROUND.

The road is paved the entire way so if you get to dirt turn around…you missed it!

Wabi-sabi

Wabi-sabi (侘寂?) represents a comprehensive Japanese world view or aesthetic centered on the acceptance of transience. The aesthetic is sometimes described as one of beauty that is “imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete.”

If your mind is empty, it is always ready for anything; it is open to everything. In the beginner’s mind there are many possibilities, but in the expert’s mind there are few.

Jack: How can you sit there, calmly eating muffins when we are in this horrible trouble, I can’t make out. You seem to me to be perfectly heartless.

Algernon: Well, I can’t eat muffins in an agitated manner. The butter would probably get on my cuffs. One should always eat muffins quite calmly. It is the only way to eat them.

On Distraction »

The obsession with current events is relentless. We are made to feel that at any point, somewhere on the globe, something may occur to sweep away old certainties — something that, if we failed to learn about it instantaneously, could leave us wholly unable to comprehend ourselves or our fellows. We are continuously challenged to discover new works of culture — and, in the process, we don’t allow any one of them to assume a weight in our minds.

How to Fall in Love with Procrastination »

Perhaps there is some greater intelligence nudging you to delay tasks and activities that merely seem important but really aren’t.

“Having a life” might just be what happens while you’re procrastinating on something else. When you delay to the limit those uninspired tasks, you’ll create more space in your life for inspiration and joy.

Another view on procrastination and what engaging in it can gain you. If you “waste” more time doing things you enjoy, you have to ignore lots of the seemingly-important-but-isn’t-really tasks that continually appear, because you simply don’t have any time left after you procrastinated and did the important tasks.

You do know what the important tasks are, don’t you?

The Caffeine Nap »

In my own experience, combining coffee and a nap return you to alertness more than either one. The caffeine takes 20 minutes to kick in, so if you slam an espresso and lay down, you can get some quick shuteye before it wakes you back up. Even if you don’t fall asleep, just being able to zone out (something I don’t think we allow ourselves to do often enough) without fear of losing too much time is very mentally recharging.

Given the possible futility of caffeine, It’s up to you to decide whether or not it’s an illusion or not. Total caffeine dependency does not make for a clear head, but who can say about the middle ground.
